The CAC CA-25 Winjeel (aboriginal for Young Eagle) was designed and
manufactured in Australia and served with the Royal Australian Air Force as an ab-initio and advanced trainer, later as a FAC (Forward Air Control) aircraft. Although only 62 Winjeels were manufactured, they served very successfully from 1955 until 1994. A large number are still active in private ownership.
We are designing two different models of the Winjeel, one in 1/6 scale, with a wingspan of 1960mm, and the other in 1/8 scale with a span of 1450mm. Each is designed using the factory drawings as reference. The smaller version will make a great Sunday flier, while the larger one will be great for competition.
